Hello 2016

2015-2016 change represents the new year 2016, three-dimensional rendering

It’s been a little while since I wrote anything here. I was doing so well with the scheduling of blog posts until Christmas came around, and then I fell behind. Such is life though, as much as we want to do everything sometimes we just can’t. A lesson I’ve learned the hard way.

Christmas was lovely this year with the fam jam, and the friends who are like family. There was baking, lots of laughing, lots of cooking and eating, and lots of gifts, which is always fun.

I also had 2 weeks off of work, which was rather glorious. I haven’t had this much time off in a row in a long time, so it’s been nice to relax and catch up with people, and on tv shows. Netflix is dangerous when you have no where you really need to be and nothing that really needs to get done immediately. I think that Netflix is modern day Siren – it lures you in with a show and then before you know it you’re 15 episodes in and have no idea where your day(s) has gone.

Another new development is that I have a boyfriend. I’ve never had one before (which I know is weird, but let’s move on) and he’s wonderful. I’m excited to see how this goes.

I’m still working on my New Years Resolutions, but unlike last year where I had at least 10, most of which I didn’t complete, this year I’m going to keep it to no more than 3, and then I think I’m going to make myself a bucket list, of all of the things I want to see and do this year. So stay tuned for that.

My goals for this blog though are to keep blogging consistently with the Baking Sunday (which will hopefully also turn into Cooking Sunday), Quote Monday, and Review Tuesday, with some more personal posts thrown in more often. I always like it when I read other people’s blogs and learn a little about them. So I’m going to try to incorporate that.

So, hello 2016, may you be a good one. And happy new year! to the rest of you 🙂
