I’m sure that most people who have blogs run into this problem at some point. It’s the age old (well this age old I suppose) questions of:
When do I Blog?
- Before or after work?
- During work?
- On the weekends and just schedule it?
How Often Do I Blog?
- When I have something to say? (What is that isn’t often enough?)
- When something good happens? Bad happens?
- Do I have weekly scheduled things/posts that I want to create?
The list could of course go on, but you get the idea. There are a lot of things to think about. For me and this blog, I want to post at least 3 times a week (which I’ve definitely not been doing), but I find that since I work at a computer all day I have zero desire when I get home to turn on my computer and go at it again for a little while. So maybe I should pre-schedule some things…
I know that one thing I’m going to try to implement, and that I want to implement is Review Tuesdays. I’m on track to read 100 books this year (I’m currently at 95, so I’ll actually probably read more than 100 this year. The nerd in me is incredibly smug about that I will admit.) and my friend Jay thought that it would be a good idea for me to share some of my thoughts on some of the books that I’ve read. So look for that this Tuesday.
I guess the rest of it – how often I’ll blog, and when I’ll do it – will get figured out as I go along, but it does bear thinking about, and it wasn’t something that I was thinking about at all before.
Do you have a blogging routine? How do you go about your blogging?
